Latin America is a region rich in sonorities, languages, and histories. Many define it as the continent of creativity and diversity.
The Festival of New Opera and Music (NóM) is a collaborative initiative born in Chile to give international visibility to an industry with an extensive and ancient tradition. The one that is in constant movement and that has an interesting musical proposal for the world, in terms of sounds, rhythms, native instruments and contributions of its tradition of popular and folkloric music.
In this first version, our artistic proposal seeks to highlight, mainly, the Chilean identity, our spaces, works, narratives, and artists, through the programming of premieres, unpublished works that have been rescued, and premieres of contemporary works by national artists in performances ranging from traditional to contemporary.
